Program description:
At the Balmain Campus of Sydney Secondary College, 30 students in Years 9 & 10 are engaged in elective classes where students work on their negotiated project and follow Big Picture principles. As well as inspiring, nurturing and supporting the interests and creativity of the students involved, the class also acts as a lighthouse for project-based learning in the school. Although they are not yet engaged in internships, students to date have been involved in valuable workplace learning in areas including journalism, the courts and film.
