Innovations in Education - Toku Moemoea
Big Picture Education New Zealand, supported by Big Picture Education Australia and Big Picture Learning USA, is pleased to invite you to our first New Zealand Conference, to be held at Te Papa (our National Museum) in Wellington March 20, 21, 22 in 2014.
The Kaupapa of Big Picture is based on “one student at a time in a community of learners” focused on: identifying student passions and interests; building a personalised programme of learning around each student to support engagement and achievement; and working with the student, whanau and community to support learning. The Conference is called 'Innovations in Education' but the Toku Moemoea headline is significant. Students’ dreams for themselves provide a doorway into success.
The Conference involves keynote speakers from Australia, USA and New Zealand, and significantly, some of these are students and teachers currently working in Big Picture-inspired programmes.
